Cargo ship carrying 1,500 tons of cement sank off Mexico Pacific coast

On the coast of Oaxaca, southern Mexican state on Pacific coast a general cargo ship DUBAN sank 13 nm which was carrying 1,500 tons of cement. The incident happened on 12th March while en route to Manzanillo.

12 crew members have been rescued from the ship. There was water ingress, the engine room was flooded, the ship was sinking on even keel. The ship was already proceeding at a reduced speed several hours prior to sinking.
