More than 1400 seafarers repatriated during Coronavirus pandemic on the eve of Good Friday to Philippines. According to Govt. sources, all of them are kept under quarantine.

Filipino seafarers from USA, UK, Norway and Portugal reached back their home country after the authorities made all efforts to bring them. It is assumed that above 30 percent of all seafarers are from Philippines worldwide.

Since crew change is banned in most of the ports and all the airlines services have been stopped, seafarers are finding great difficulties. Philippines arranged special flights and has flown around 1400 crews to Manila. Five flights were used for this mission.
