Most of the UK Airlines refuse to refund the cancellation during COVID-19 pandemic due to fear of bankruptcy. Airlines are supposed to refund the cancelled tickets amount within 14 days.

Airlines such as British Airways and Easy Jet sources indicate its inabilities to repay their customers. Since airlines are deprived of their income, repaying the refund will make them bankruptcy.

Ryanair has requested their passenger to wait for the pandemic to end. Some of the airlines are making it up to the customers by offering Vouchers and Credit notes. Travel bodies are demanding government authorities to extend the refund period from 14 to 28 days.

Many airlines including some of the Indian Airlines are issuing Vouchers instead of a refund. International Air Transport Association (IATA) has asked the authorities to relax the cancellation regulations. Some of the airline officials are demanding a one year window period.
