Angriya Cruise Ship is ready to ferry Indian Seafarers

Angriya, the first Indian domestic cruise ship is requested by the Government of India to keep its’ Cruise Ship ready for bringing back the stranded Indian seafarers.

Captain Nitin Dhond, the managing director of Angriya sea Eagle said that “Angriya will assist in the evacuation of Indians stranded overseas. It could be anybody. Workers, stranded fishermen, seafarers. It could also be anyone stuck in ports of locations away from India”

Angriya will assist in the evacuation process along the Indian coast, Arabian Sea and Gulf Countries.

Meanwhile Indian ports are arranging sign on and sign off of the Indian seafarers slow and sturdy. JNPT officials quoted saying at least 9 crews have been signed off so far after SOP implanted. This includes 6 crew from MV Folegandros yesterday. All the sign off seafarers have been put in JNPT Township for quarantine.

Tuticorin Port also witnessed 6 crew sign offs yesterday. “All the crew is in quarantine period,” VOC port authorities’ sources quoted today.
